Review of chapter "The Devil In Miss Burkle" from VillageOrchid
Review:
Cool. Makes me glad I missed this chapter the first time you posted it.
Still very complicated and not entirely clear what happened between the spleen-eating and the bedrest.
Thanks for sharing this tale.

Review:
The portal to Seacover seems a little heavy on the Deus Ex Machina, but it can work with a little explanation of what might have attracted She-Who-Is-Cranky to the place.

Review of story "A Kingdom By The Sea" from Odjn
Review:
Still cool.

Do immortals die (permanently) if they're not decapitated but horribly mutilated? It was very descriptive, a nice picture of the grotesque. Nicely done.
Comments from author:
Immortals do not die permanently if they are not decapitated but horribly mutilated, though they may wish they had.

Thanks. It didn't pan out exactly as I wanted it to (I suspect it may have happened one chapter too early, and it may change in later revisions), but at the very least, it conveys what I meant it to - that Illyria, for all the humanizing element that Fred's body and emotions have on her, is still a demon. An Old One, even. And that when she was talking about making trophies of her enemies' spines, she was not speaking idly.

Review of chapter "A Kingdom By The Sea" from Dema
Review:
Wow I haven't seen this far up in Angel but this story is great so far. I love how you ended by including the Imortals right away.
I Can't wait to read more.

Review of chapter "Of Journeys and Foolish Mistakes" from JasonBarnett
Review:
Excellent chapter. Though I don't understand why Methos didn't decapitate Hamilton while he was down. And is Lindsey stupid enough to go for a Slayer even after there's an army of Slayers?
Comments from author:
Probably because being run over didn't actually do much more than stun Hamilton for a few seconds. And Methos didn't want to die.

Review:
The title of the chapter is very fitting. I didn't expect the Hamilton/Methos interaction, that was good. I didn't expect Connor to get pulled in either, I liked that too. I wonder what Illyria is going to do. Look forward to more, thanks

Review of chapter "Of Journeys and Foolish Mistakes" from Odjn
Review:
Still reading. Um, I like that you're bringing Connor into this. I don't like that Hamilton's still super-strong and everything. With Eve's return, does that mean Hamilton will lose all his super-strength and stuff?
Comments from author:
Hamilton was super-strong before Eve signed away her immortality, if you recall. The power of the Senior Partners is in his blood.

Review of chapter "Unfinished Business" from oldscout
Review:
I've like the story so far, very unique, but the formatting on this chapter is bad. I really couldn't get through it.
Comments from author:
What in the world...? Dang, but I'm not sure how that happened. Will attempt to fix it. O_o

I'm pleased to see Methos taking the off-ramp at that point. I was having trouble wraping my head around Methos running towards danger without some sort of inescapable reason to do so. Otherwise, it's up to the high standards of quality I have come to expect of you.

Review:
I like your stratetigic alternate ending to the Angel series. I hope if they can get the gang together part of the last few episodes of the show will be someone's vision, rather than an actual happening and something more strategic along the lines of what you picked can happen. Looking forward to what you pick for the next bit of plot. Thanks for sharing.

Review:
This is an outstanding story. Your characterization of our heroes is perfect and you have done a wonderful job of capturing all their voices. I am even enjoying your twisted plot. I look forward to more of your wonderful story.

Review of chapter "Unfinished Business" from Odjn
Review:
I just thought this deserved a review. I like Angel's more calculating plan of escape -- he always struck me as a thinker (well, in Angel anyway. In Buffy he was just the good side of a raving psychotic.)

Still, I think you've wrapped that part of the story up a little too quickly.
Comments from author:
Well, that part of the story isn't quite over yet. Unless you mean the actual planning and implementation phase, as opposed to its long-term consequences.

Thanks for the update. I look forward to Marcus and Methos meeting up again. Is the fang gang going to have to get some alternate identities? Who better to help them, than Immortals who have become expert in it?

Fascinating... it will be interesting to see where this goes, though it does look like Fred and Wed are going to have some issues sooner rather than later.
