Review of chapter "Part I: I'm Not in Kansas Anymore" from FallenGods
Review:
This has started well with a fair bit of mystery and enough details and small touches to make it engaging. I will point out though that Middle Earth has the same constellations as earth. For instance, Valacirca, (the Sickle of the Valar) is the name Tolkien gave to Ursa Major (The Plough/Big Dipper). This probably won't impact the story but I thought I'd share it anyway in case you find it interesting or useful. I'm looking forward to see where this goes.

Yeah, I noticed that when I re-read TLotR last year. I fixed the copy of the story on my web site, but didn't propagate the fix across to TTH.

-- And now I've fixed it here, too.

Review of chapter "Part X: There’s No Place Like Home" from maxthehobbit
Review:
Great story, a nice more mature and mellow Faith. I read The Hobbit in high school about 1967-68, don't remember much of it except the names of Bilbo Baggins and Gandolph. Very good for a short story and well thought out and entertaining.
Thanks for sharing.

Review of chapter "Part X: There’s No Place Like Home" from LegacyWeapon
Review:
This was a very nice, quaint read. Sometimes, Faith seemed a bit too mellow compared to what I know of her, but given the language barrier, I suppose she would have to be more accommodating. I wish we could have seen more from Gandalf's point of view, and maybe from the POV of Bilbo, Beorn, Elrond, and Glorfindel as well. But the tale was very nicely told as it is.

Thank you for this. Happy New Year. ^_^

Review of chapter "Part X: There’s No Place Like Home" from WaMiLoe
Review:
Good work overall and especially on capturing Faiths character.
The story is just a little bit short and Faiths way home to easy but that is really not such a big problem.
Other than that beautifully done.

b.t.w. I like how you put Faith in the same time and place at her return.

I see possibilities for a sequel here (maybe Glorfindel trying to get her back or something).
Anyways I'd like to see a sequel.

Review:
Heh, that was very nice. I honestly don't remember much at all of "The Hobbit" but you seem to have followed the part I do remember.
Faith was very well done as well, especially that you showed a post-chosen Faith. (Too many people tend to forget that she grew up/matured/whatever while in jail)
Also the fact that she dealt pretty well with everything (except sitting still...) cuz Faith really is good at 'rolling with the punches'

I read this with great enjoyment back in April, when speaker2customers pointed it out to me. Having lost my own log-in details (don't ask...) I didn't leave a review.

Having registered again with a slight variant on my usual name so that I could post my own LotR crossover, I have remembered to come back and say how much I enjoyed this. S2C is right - one of the very best!

I thought that I'd reviewed this long ago but apparently I didn't, probably because I read it during the run-up to the Crossing Over Awards, and I was concentrating on trying to read as many nominees as possible before voting. I voted for it, of course, as it's definitely the best crossover in the LoTR 'verse that I've ever come across. Beautifully balanced (like Faith's reforged sword).

Very nice story. Easy to follow even though I haven't read "The Hobbit." I love Faith playing with little Aragorn -- too cute!

Review:
Wow, I love this story! Mabye you could write a sequel where Glofindel comes to earth or Faith goes back to Arda, you could worck in the whole marrage between them (whitch I have to say had me twitching for a bit). Anyway, good story!
Comments from author:
I've had some thoughts about sending Faith back, post LotR, so she can see what's changed.

Review:
I liked it but it just ended! *wails* she got there and all of the sudden BOOM, all done. Cruel, cruel. But wonderful and not in any way intrusive or changing to the story too much. Thanks for this, very fun.
Comments from author:
My plan all along for this story was "Faith helps Bilbo get home" and once they got to Imladris, that task was essentially completed. I've been thinking about bringing her back to Middle Earth for a sequel, but I don't really have a good feel for what's going to happen to her on her return visit.
