Review of chapter "Part X: There’s No Place Like Home" from purrfus
Review:
Great. Unusual to see a pre-LotR and with Faith. Fantastic combination. The end was a little abrupt, but it was very interesting to see how little time elapsed while she was gone.

I can feel the jealousy rolling off Andrew on Faith's return from here!

Review of chapter "Part X: There’s No Place Like Home" from Booster
Review:
Very enjoyable, and I do hope that there's a sequel on it's way. Much like life I suppose, but I wish Faith had had a last moment to say goodbye to everyone she had known and got to love in Middle-Earth.

Review:
Cool. The end was a little abrupt, but it worked. I didn't really saw Faith fighting the good fight in Middle Earth.

Review:
I very much regret not reviewing this before, I enjoyed it a great deal. It almost seems to have come to an abrupt end--but since it's one that follows directly from how she got there--I know that's just me being greedy.

thank you, fastpilot

Review of chapter "Part X: There’s No Place Like Home" from (Recent Donor)DaveTurner
Review:
It must be 30+yrs since I read 'The Hobbit' and LOTR, and I have to say I wasn't that impressed with either of them! I found the films 'good in parts' otherwise quite boring. So it was quite a surprise to me that I actually read and enjoyed your story, so well done on that count.
I also liked you more thoughtful treatment of Faith, rather than the brash Faith that people normally write. I think the 'toned-down' Faith is more in line with what we saw of her in BtVS S7.
All The Best,
Dave T.

Review:
Nice ending - I hope she bought back some souvenirs.
Comments from author:
She's got her reforged sword, some nifty pictures in her camera phone, the pipe Bilbo made for her, and some elvish silk underwear.

Review of chapter "Part IX: The First Homely House" from physicsteach
Review:
Well, this continues your high standard of writing, and is a really well-thought out crossover. You're one of the few crossover writers who really understands the pitfalls of the genre, and you're the best at overcoming them.

I really like this chapter, and I'm looking forward to more.

Review:
Well, at least Faith's getting a few home comforts - plumbing, comfy beds, something to keep the bed warm...

Nice chapter - looking forward to seeing how you wrap this up.

Review of chapter "Part IX: The First Homely House" from Ghostdraconi
Review:
This is a great story, the very fact that everyone isn't standing around amazed by Faith and her "amazing slayer powers" is enough to raise it above most crossovers of this type. Add in an interesting story and believable characters and you have a winner on your hands. The most amazing thing is that I have the feeling that the story is only getting started. Rest assured, wherever you plan on taking this, I'll be along for the ride.
Continue the great work.

Review of chapter "Part VIII: Over the Mountains" from CPTSkip
Review:
Excellent update. I think your writing style for this story is very Tolkien-like. I like the way you mix the fast intense action scenes and the slower traveling times between. I also liked Gandalf's bit of foreshadowing in his final statement. I look forward to reading more of this fascinating story.

Wonder how much a troll weighs? I bet Bilbo knows, and is thinking "What????"
Comments from author:
Not really. By this point he's already seen lots of evidence that Faith is a lot stronger than she looks. She hasn't been hiding it.
