I really like this!! Great start. Spike is one of my favourite characters.
You've filled me with curiosity, and questions! Why didn't his friends find him? Where are his friends now - Angel and Dawn should be around? Shouldn't they? And hey, what about Illyria?
Please update soon and quench my curiosity!

This is a really interesting idea. All other Spike/Firefly xovers I've read have just had him 'live' until the colonization of the Allied planets, but I think I like this more. With the possibility of space travel, new sciences would have been developed, and knowledge shared between the WC and those leaving the planets to make sure the travelers would be aware of what they might encounter, which just makes what's happening here all the more plausible.
You've piqued my interest here, and I'll most def. be following this story. :)
