Review:
Malfoy is a spy?!?!??!?! Well isn't that a surprise. I love how you got rid of the headmaster anyone wondering why he was considered a good guy for so long? I have to wonder why nobody questioned him sooner. I love that Hammond came to the other universe to make sure that Xander and Buffy didn't cause more problems with their "let's go and get Harry and dig some graves" mind set that they entered in learning that the school was being held hostage. I am as always eagerly awaiting the next installment to this wonderfully complicated intricate story. ^_^
Comments from author:
Glad you enjoyed the story. ;-)
Yes, Malfoy was a spy, because not everyone at the Ministry is the kind of idiot that JKR would have one believe, and some people could actually take proactive measures to anticipate what Riddle might do in the event of a comeback.
And given the Scoobies' history regarding their treatment of Big Bads, it's not unreasonable for Hammond to be *extremely* concerned about what they intend to do to someone who had kidnapped their child and initially caused them to believe Harry was murdered by another of their enemies.
And the Scoobies don't usually 'dig some graves' because there typically isn't enough left of their opponents to bury. ;-)

Okay, so that Malfoy bit came out of nowhere and smacked me in the head like a baseball made of awesome. I can't wait to see where you're going with this.
Comments from author:
Glad I could surprise you with that bit.
More surprises are in store, for pretty much everyone. ;-)

Review:
*snicker* I like this, Amelia is playing a far deeper game than anyone suspects. It should be right interesting to see where she takes it from here. In the meantime, I do so hope Delores tries something personally against Harry's adoptive parents, the resulting show should be highly educational for all onlookers.
Comments from author:
I try to make all of the characters behave in a reasonably intelligent manner, so Amelia isn't an idiot and she's done what she can to try and ensure that her people are doing whatever they can reasonably justify, in order to remove menaces to the public. ;-)
Of course, going by that rationale, Riddle isn't going to be the seemingly brain-dead idiot JKR showed us, either. ;-(

Review:
Very cool story. When Harry finds out he killed Dumbledore, despite his being angry at him, he's still only 11 years old, and despite all of his training and conditioning, killing someone, particularly someone he thought was a old man- manipulative, stupid and hurt his mom, but none the less an old man, will have an impact on his mental health- for good or bad, is entirely up to you.
I look forward to seeing how you wrap all of this up.
I would love to see a parallel version of this where Dumbledore et all wasn't stupid/evil/manipulative and you entirely removed the idiotball from the Death Eaters- makes for an entirely different and very violent alternative story.
Comments from author:
Actually, given the environment harry grew up in, and some of the opponents the Council faced over the years, Dumbledore being an old man isn't going to matter very much to Harry at all.
He was a covertly manipulative and obviously scheming person who, at least to harry, was trying to trick or coerce him into abandoning his family in order to force Harry follow whatever his plans might be. According to the things Harry has been taught by his family and his various teachers, that is pretty much the definition of evil, so he's not losing any sleep over it.
Add in the fact that this evil person tried to kill his mother, and the only problems I can see Harry having is that he didn't act sooner, to prevent Dumbledore from injuring his mother at all.
And I think that, once you see what I have planned, you'll see that my version of Riddle tossed the Idiot Ball back to whoever was holding it earlier, and then immediately followed that up with a lightning bolt. ;-)

Review:
Lucius Malfoy as a reverse Manchurian Agent? Interesting twist. About as deep cover as can be. Nothing like an agent who truly *believes* they are loyal to the terrorists' cause when undercover.
Comments from author:
Magic offers all sorts of interesting possibilities when it comes to this sort of situation, doesn't it? ;-)

I ended up going back and completely rereading this story, but it was well worth the time. I love seeing Dumbles get his ass handed to him! Can't wait to see the same thing happen to Fudge and the pink toad. After all if the Goblin Nation alines with the Scoobies then I wonder how the Ministry would feel if they were suddenly broke or worse lol, the Crown might turn against them too.
Comments from author:
Well, all I can say right now is that my Magic 8-Ball's predictions regarding the Wizarding World's future weren't looking all that bright. ;-)

Wow. Just wow. I do admit this is one I keep forgetting about, then all of a sudden you post a new chapter a like a year after the last. I'm glad to see more of this.
Also, major huge bonus points for you. I've been reading Harry Potter fan fiction for well over a decade at this point, and I have NEVER seen "Deep Cover Agent Malfoy" before. Never. I look forward to eventually finding out more - is he really a Malfoy infiltrating the death eaters . . . is the real Lucius long dead, and this is someone that's taken his place . . ? Should be interesting to find out.
As always, thank you for writing, and sharing it with us.
Comments from author:
Glad you're enjoying the story, and that I surprised you with the revelation about Lucius. ;-)
More, as my muse dictates.
