I like your story and am tracking it already. Unfortunately before i read your story i read Tenhawk's SEAL team 13, where the author explains very well why Aikido wouldn't work on vampires, and i can't seem to get that out of my head. Vamps heal faster and have a lot of stamina, while Aikido is perfect to take out opponents faster and stronger that yourself it doesn't mean shit if your opponent can easily shrug off your attacks. I'll try to stop thinking about it when i read your story though as i really want to know how this fic end. Please keep up your good work!

I too have read Team 13. Entertaining fic.
Hum. This is going to require a bit more complicated answer. Here is my thinking.
Vamps do heal fast and they do have a lot of stamina, but in the case of 1 on 1 fight that's pretty much irrelevant. Vamps don't heal instantly or really even fast enough to matter. Most fights last a few seconds. Remember those multi-minute long fights are the product of movies. When two people are trying to kill each other it's usually over very fast (one way or the other). The shortness of the fights also kill the stamina argument in my mind.
Aikido properly (improperly rather) applied can be extremely damaging or lethal. At least one person has been killed practicing Aikido (in case you were wondering...a snapped neck). Joints are extremely vulnerable and many Akido movements offer lovely opportunities for strikes to vulnerable areas. Not that strikes are actually part of Aikido, but we are fighting vampires after all. :)
Thats my logic in this story world. Tenhawk has his for his world. And others have theirs.
I love fanfiction.

Yet another fun chapter ^^! I'm not usually a fan of 'defenseless' Xander but I very much appreciate how you're giving him an honest chance to grow with a far less oppressive atmosphere. I don't know I don't really watch the show itself but when I did he always seemed to be the guy who never reached his real potential. I mean sure there were a few key moments through out he series but to be honest he never really seemed... I don't know complete maybe? In my eyes he was the one that the creators/writers of the show left with the most untapped potential. Hence why he's the character I like to mess around with the most in my own stories. Anyway didn't mean to go on that long of a tangent. Good work and here's to anticipating the next chapter filled with awesomeness ^^!

Often the fics I enjoy most are the ones where a character has to work to develop his potential. And Xanders going to be getting many really cool opportunities to do so.

There was a part of me that hoped Xander would be stuck in Croft land and there would be no direct involvement of any of the Scoobies. However, since the plot bunnies decided to drag them in ... nicely done.
Looking forward to more.

So good to see more of this story! It's been entirely too long since it was updated. I hope you'll be updating it regularly from now on. Again, fantastic work here.

Delighted to see some more of this going up here. Are there more chapters being written of this (or are they being revised), or will it only match up to the XanderZone archive, where it's up to chapter 22? (And it's a doozy of a cliff-hanger it was left on there, too!)
Keep up the great work, because this site needs more material written by authors of your calibre!

I'm going back to the old chapters, correcting, tweaking, and re-writing. I'll bring it up to 22 and then on to the end.

Don't imagine either Faith, Dawn, or Willow are going to let General Buffy and her Corpsicle Dildo get away with as much as they did in canon, since she's pushing buttons way earlier than before. And Xander - despite all the pushing away Willow has done before this, being Buffy's co-enabler for her necrophilia - is going to be a looming absence to the three ladies in question.
... Half hoping Spike gets dusted first brush with Caleb; be better than the Potential he killed before gouging out Xander's eye. On the other hand, if Caleb uses Buffy for a drum first, /then/ dusts the Useless Ponce, that'd be good too.
Question is, how close are the time periods running for the two realities? Seems to me, there are running pretty much even, so there's not much hope for Xander to get a lot of training from the three, except perhaps a lot of gun and explosives time, which could help later on.
On the other hand, with the "transmitter" being broken in Sunnydale, I doubt that the "receiver" statue can lock on to the right Reality to send him back to without some huge amount of power and energy...
Xander has /such/ an interesting life...
