Review:
I loved "Changing the Death Toll" and I was desperately hoping you'd do a sequel. Now that you have, I am very very happy. I have a LOT of thoughts and questions about this universe, more now that you've started to fill in the blanks about what's up with the Scoobies and SG1. So, questions:

Are Buffy and Jack from the same universe? If so, will the two groups realize they could coordinate their search efforts?

Is the gravity on Yavin 4 the same as Earth's? Will Jack, Buffy and the kiddies lose/gain extra muscle tone?

Are they really going to have to wait for Luke to defeat Vader? Because that is going to be a loooong time coming, and it seems like a waste to let a group as skilled as they will probably become sit on a shelf collecting dust during the prime of their fighting years. Is there going to be some kind of statis field, maybe, so that they won't have to wait once they're ready to fight?

Why didn't Ro'hane have a Jedi master? He seems like a sharp kid who anyone'd want as an apprentice; it looks to me like he's shaping up to be the second in command, after Jack and Buffy who seem to be sharing (so far) the In-Charge title.

(New questions which I assume I'll learn the answer to if I just wait but I'm telling you now that I'm wondering anyway): The Scoobies are getting split? To where? Which ones? When?

On to observations!

These kids are going to grow into very atypical Jedi. If they're totally isolated from the rest of the universe, they're eventually going to develop a distinct culture that will differ pretty drastically from that of the rest of the galaxy, if only because they'll never meet the people who could teach them the societal norms and more importantly, Jedi norms. Buffy and Jack are going to be able to teach these kids how to fight, but my guess is they don't know a lot about Jedi teachings. They'll be able to teach the kids how to use their negative emotions in a controlled manner, but Jedi aren't supposed to have bad feelings at all. This could be the basis of some serious culture clash if these neo-Jedi kiddies ever run into some of the old school Jedi.

The kids are going to be very good scouts and fighters, but probably less skilled at the diplomatic and judicial side of the Jedi's duties.

Socially, I'm thinking there will probably be three distinct groups evolving among the survivors. On top will be Buffy and Jack, in charge. Next the younglings, who being older, will remember more of life in the outside world than infants who never knew anything else. They'll also bond over having to look after the babies. The last and largest group will be the infants.

The Yavin 4 castaways may even develop a distinct dialect filled with Earth slang, especially California English. I mean, most of the people present are infants, and their chief authority figures are pretty irreverent speakers (and just irreverent in general).

As you can see, I've put a lot of thought into your story and I'm very glad you're continuing it. Please keep it rolling. It's awesome.

Okay. A review this long deserves a response.
Glad you liked the story so well. It seems like you've been immersed in a little corner of my mind. (Poor you)
Answers:
#1. can't answer, that will ruin the story.
#2. don't know, that's not one of the things that I thought about. But they will be fighting for their survival.
#3. Yes. But who said anything about wasting?
#4. Because he didn't. EU says that Obi-wan wasn't chosen as a padawan until (the very last moment) he was being shipped to the Gardens. The ships with all the younglings was attacked by pirates and Jinn was impressed to how Obi-wan conducted himself. Oh and I don't know if you noticed but he wasn't the top in his (jedi) class. He's not the greatest pilot and Buffy disarmed him very quickly.
#5. Yes. Mostly.
#6. *grin*
#7. *bigger grin*
#8. Yep. But there will also be different groups too.
#9. *grin*

All in all, thanks for the encouragement. And I hope the rest of the story meets with your expectations.

That's weird. I had just read the first story on like, Saturday. I was wondering if there was going to be a sequel anytime soon and voila, here it is! Does the Force grant wishes or something? This is so cool, I'm glad you're writing the sequel.

Damn Powers! The very least they could do is send Dawn to Buffy, even if they don't want to send the others! Fuckers! And I thought Whistler was sort of a Good Guy? I mean, he wasn't really compassionate, here! He may be an immortal demon, but they are only human! Which means they consider their friends differently!

Some stories dance like puppets on strings and other stories fight the author every step of the way. This one fought, and fought, and fought.
