You are, of course, correct in regards to the canon Illyria as seen in Angel season five. This story, however, is the sequel to 'Epigoni,' which was almost entirely devoted to Illyria's character growth. Hmm. Perhaps, to avoid confusion, I should simply attatch this story to the end of Epigoni.

Loved the quotes from Milton, et al, in "Epigoni" (though the Mel-Brooksian quality of "Springtime for Ba'al" almost made me shoot a beverage out of my nose, when I saw that as a chapter title! That was so apropos it was actually scary!), and still loving the classic B5 quote here.

So I guess this is one small step for you as well, to get through the writer's block? This was good. I hope it leads to a sequel because I really liked "Epogoni".
BTW, I thought it was interesting that Illyria used the term Earth-That-Was. Could the people at Alpha site be the possible ancestors of the people of Firefly/Serentity world?
