I have never been able to get into the wheel of time series, so I wasn't sure about reading this story. I'm glad I did. Interesting to make Dawn a part of it, and good work on the Xander changes - its great that it comes in spurts.

Wow...Quite nice, it does have a darker thren than m-mcgregor's i am what i am, but yes, i can see the ressemblance. At the beginning of chapter two, i was hoping he got more of mat than lan, nd that wish kindo f did get solved, but at the same time it seems this is a very dark mat, and i am not so sure i like that. Intriguing, that you make more of warran. it is true that he is a robotic genius, and that canon!willow didn't have the time he did about it. Still, it is ironic that all his passion end up for nothing against buffy, and htat it was his old rival willow that killed him with her new "Talents". I do hope we have, in hte far future, super willow too, and that Xander's dark phase doesn't last too long. pretty please?

I'm glad you liked it. I'm not writing it to be a dark story, but the metaplot is so very dark that some of it seeps in. I think Mat does have a dark side, but I'm more working the fear of loss of identity and alien intrusion.

I guess I can't promise anything. I'm not writing for dark, but I think there's some dark moments ahead.

Very nice. I'm a big fan of Wheel of Time Crossovers. I like the fact that although Xander has gained some abilities he isn't suddenly uber-powerful. Too many fics give him a sudden power boost and he's kicking everyones ass.
As for the fact that he's more Mat than Lan, I think you covered it with the implication that the books and facts don't exactly match up. I can't wait to see how you handle the whole Angel arc and I'm wondering how many of the Buffy seasons you'll be covering. Anyway great job.

hmm i read the first 2 chapters in one go and paused then read them again.

is it just me or did xander go dressed up as lan but have the influence of Mat from the series. ?

i mean pole weapon/halebard type weapon a affinity to gambling games and so on?
second thing not having told joyce the truth after having had several visual display´s of magic or use of saidar ? feels a bit forced there that and some interaction between the characters aswell.

overall the story is great but i think its developing a bit to quickly remeber the development of saidar and skills like swordskills and stuff along that line takes months for small gain even with xander having memories of older lives it would be the same as rand relearning sword work with the kinslayer in his head helping out..

as i said overall a good story just needs a bit of poolishing, hope to see more chapters out in the future

Yep, I switched it. I did some explaining and hand waving stuff, but it's really just that I thought Mat was a better match than Lan. Lan's so grim.

Glad you're liking it. I am zipping the weapons skills along very fast. I'll think about it. I'm not quite sure what the Halloween spell does. Xander mostly got knowledge the last time around, though there was a gain in fighting skill.

I am definitely a fan of Xander. I love the Jedi Xander series and the Sunnydale Berserker story. So your take on Warder Xander ranks right up there with those (my favorite of the Halloween-fics). I am also a big fan of strong-independent-Dawn fics. They are few and far between and, alas, I fear my minority group is fading. So when I started reading this story it really rang my bell. Two of my favorite character / types combined with one of my favorite all time book series, and written in a very good style. All I can say is I hope you finish this and soon!

Loved the fic, especially making Dawn the one..and Xan does seem a warder...

got tired of the books..got upto 7 and it just lost me..too many twists and turns..especially when they came back on themselves..and the hatred it seemed to breed at times....yes it can be deep..but it can also be so overwhelming with detail that you blank out...

anyway..great story..keep it up

Very good start. I am not familiar with the series, but you have explained enough so I can easily follow your story. I really like the job you are doing with everyones' characters and look forward to more of your story. But shouldn't Cordy be in the library also? I would think she would be curious as to what happened to them all on Helloween.

Thanks very much! Cordy is tricky as this is just at the time when she becomes a regular Scooby. I think that she began making the regular meetings when she started seeing Xander which happens in about two episodes. Not sure, but that's what I was going with.
